I think anything over A10 is considered torque tuned verses the lower numbers that are horsepower tuned. The A9 or A10 seems to be in the middle of both tuning. If you have references to the contrary, please post them. My A12 cam definitely inhibits top end RPM and horsepower for low end torque.
here is what awesomebuggy says about the cams.
cam08,best top-end speed
cam09, best acceleration/top speed
cam10,better low-end torque for better climbing power
cam11,best low-end torque for climbing &rock crawling.
this cam is what you want if you are building a SLOW GOING trail jumping machine for use in the eastern US.
that is what awesome buggy says they don't show a 12 cam but i could imagine.they have the cam lift specs. with these cams to
now i'm not running a cam dang it anyway but i got to agree with ruby some of these cams you would be able to climb a tree but loose top end speed with it.

I'm not convinced any of the 150 CDI boxes have a limiter. Anyone know for sure?
Send me a OEM CDI and ill test that theory, i have room to get mine to 11k rpm's again
Been there, done that. 2 oem's, 2 "no limter" cdis off eBay, 1 from an old Honda scooter and the Blade HP CDI all went into my Yerf--which could easily peg the 10K tach on my flat blacktop road. All performed exactly the same. The engine itself (with 22" tires) limited the rpms--never a hint of limiter operation. _________________ _________________

With my Blade I am running around 46mph in about 125 yards. That is with 61mm big bore, 32mm carb 165 jet and 13gm rollers and Prodigy clutch. Speed comes from Vapor Trail Tech. On a drag strip I out run any 250 or 150. _________________ blade 150

My kinroad straight out of the crate ran about 25mph. I was
very disapointed. But I soon found Buggynews Now with a
1500 (yellow) spring, prodigy clutch and bell, gates belt, 130
main jet, 1.5" redneck/uni mod and 9g rollers, my Sahara is a
climbing beast! Top speed is 32 to 34 mph based on the road
surface(dirt/asphalt). Future plans are to install an A-10 cam,
37 tooth duel lower sprokett and put true 21" & 22" holeshots
on front and rear. After these extra mods, hopefully my top
speed will increase to around 36 or 38 mph and be more of a
climbing beast than it already is. With the deep wooded trails
and hills that I ride and the sandy flat terrains, I prefer good
strong low end torque over fast top speeds. Even though my
Sahara does not come close to 40+ mph, it gets to it's top
speed fairly quick. Obviously all 150's will show different top end
speeds based on personal preferences. So don't make any of
your personal decisions about buying a 150 soley on top speed
ratings. That's what makes these buggies so much fun. They're
like personal little Transformers. _________________ Kinroad Sahara 150,chrome intake
