my cart ran perfectly fine for me the other night..i let a friend borrow it for a day and he said it ran good all day...when he got done riding he said he filled the gas tank and when he started it to put it on the trailer it was spittin and sputterin...so the first thing i checked was obviously the gas..it looked good so i checked the fuel filter and its clean too...so now im looking for some other problems to troubleshoot...it starts fine and idles normally...it just wont go when you hit the gas...it just spits and sputters...from what i gathered in another forum it sounds like its a belt or my piston rings...im just looking for a confirmation on that or possibly what else it could be before i start tearing it apart....THANKS...

sounds like trash in the fuel and carb or water. look in the tank with a flash light and see if you see water in the bottom, drain the fuel bowl and check the coil connections and spark plug wire.

As an owner of a sunl 150 I would definitely look at what BIGE is saying, I doubt it is anything major. If your getting fuel to the carb I would look really close at the coil wires. Because of the poor design of the electrical box cover which actually sits on top of the wires and the crappy connections used it is a common problem. It often shows up when you get into the throttle.

well first off i wanted to thank BIGE and briarhopper i just got done messing with everything and i think its working...i need to go to bed so i can get up early for work but ill drive it afterwards to make sure....for PUD..no everything is still stock but i've been reading alot of forums and im thinking about putting some kind of mods into it...if ya got any suggestions ill gladly take them....they gotta be fairly cheap tho cuz i have a baby due soon and need to save most of the money..but the buggy is very weak going up hills...anything to help that..?..and is easy enough for a rookie to do...i ride mostly in the woods and usually have my fiance's 2 year old son with me...so losing top speed is no prob cuz were usually not going fast...just need to be able to climb the hills....thanks in advace...

Bought some 93 appx. 2 wks. ago and had to pull both my and sons carb to remove the brown residue from this crappy corn product put in our fuel.Evidently their tanks were low.So I just purchased 5 gals. of 93 again from a differant station and now I have water in my fuel. Went to take the crap back and was told I'm the source of the water,so I had to file a complaint with the Ms. dept of ag. Memphis had a large number of stations fail their inspections.Beware many stations even the large stops are running the tanks near to empty so you will be getting some high dollar trash. All fuel now has up to 15% ethonal or corn induced water and as the old saying goes ashes to ashes dust to dust the same holds true water to water, corn to corn.Buy a can of gas than smell it ,let sit inside for two weeks and now smell, believe me you will tell the differance, also look at it when new than in two weeks it will turn clear to urin yellow. As stated in previous posts dump the fuel drain carb probably pull the bowl and clean and purchase some fresh fuel if possible. Good Luck TOM

i understand
1500 torque spring
9 or 10 gram rollers
uni-filter , rejet carb oil for uni-filter
use the stock exhaust and drill a few holes in it still won't be loud but will get a better exhaust flow
then if you want to top off the bottom end go with the 39 tooth sprocket and add a couple links to chain
i haven't check prices lately and this is a guess but i think you still can get all these things for around $ 130.00 dollars
these mods will make you a whole different buggy and a good trail riding machine.
just my thoughts
