| < Maintenance and Repairs - Mini Buggy ~ NST260CC Shaft Drive CVT Belt |

Well, that title is a mouthful! I'm going to attempt to check my CVT belt. I've been getting poor acceleration (good top-end though) and I CANNOT spin the tires on dirt. The CVT slips befor the tires do. Also, I smell rubber burning after a high speed run.
I've rebuilt my Yerf in the past with no problems, so I am slightly familiar with a CVT. My problem is this dual shaft drive. Is there a diff inside the CVT? Anything I should be careful of when starting this job? Can I run the buggy and make sure it's operating smoothly with only the right side connected?
Thanks for the help guys! _________________ Thanks!

the 260 and the new 150 with that set up is still kinda new. the cvt system should be very close to the rest of the buggy's.
you probably can run it with out the cvt cover on, check where the ground wire connects, and make sure there is nothing else needs to attached to the cover.
do you know what size the belt is _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's Atv's, parts and repairs. accessories for all makes.

Simsim44 has that buggy, or one that is very similar. I know he has done quite a bit of work on his. In this post he opened up the CVT as well as replaced the differential. I'd take a look at this post and then he could probably answer any other questions you have.
