My bro-in-law loves his 650 spyder...He has the Fast Freddies Weber kit and it scoots good...BUT, it was no match for the 1100.......

Seans frame w/38 hp would be close to the 650 in performance but way bigger in size....

Myself, I, would do the Spyder if your not getting the 1100 engine, it's size lends it to be a little more versitile....

I don't get to the site as often as I used to, so sorry about the late response. Aside from some of the stuff that Showa mentioned (cv joint, exposed ECU, etc.), I've really had no problems (knock on wood). The bolt-together cage can get a little noisey in the rough stuff, and the stock lights really sucked (they've been replaced), but overall it's been really reliable. We just went camping in the Rocky Mountains northeast of Salt Lake City, and it ran like a champ. Even up above 10K feet the engine ran perfect, and the gearing was great for everything from slow trail rides to fast runs. For what I paid, it's a great little toy. I have to admit that I like it more in the dunes, but I'm kind of a dune guy anyways, so maybe I'm biased.
