Was out with the 250xt yesterday when all of a sudden it just lost power and started to make a "bogging down" noise. I really cant describe the noise but all power was lost yet the engine was still running. It was a hot day so I figured it was overheating. I opened the coolant cap and there was nothing at all. I put a little coolant in and tried again but the same thing happens. When it loses power, the engine cuts out when the kart comes to a complete stop and will only start after about 5 minutes. I do have a uni filter and I believe a 125 jet, but I could be wrong. All help is greatly appreciated.

The temp was about 170 which seemed normal but I would not trust the gauge. There is no way to tell if coolant was in the radiator, the only way to get to any coolant is the fill cap.

You have to burp the system if it was bone dry and you added more coolant, let the air bubbles run out.
