Putting a VW motor in it will just help you break more parts.

That is what I mean try to sell it and see what you can get for it.No matter what you will never get what you paid for it new.If you cannot get a decent return on it then I would consider the VW upgrade and doing some welding and fixing the problems. The other solution is like most everyone else has to do ride it break it then fix it.Most of these Buggys just are not as reliable as they should be.Take Yerf Dog for example the could have spent a few more dollars and used grade 8 bolts and beefed up some of the welds. But for what you spent on your Buggy I feel your pain.I would not be very Happy either.2008 is it not under some kind of warranty? If you bought from a wholesaler(read auction) you got took on the purchase. Wholesale means wholesale. You paid retail for no warranty. There are dealers that could have shipped you a machine that would have been covered under warranty.

Typically the 800 and 1100 sand viper do not exhibit these problems but it is as with anything else, there are times when things don't mesh right and put additional stress on certain points. It appears that is the issue that you are having.

Joyner has a program now where you can buy exrtended warranty periods for machines. I do not know, however, if you will qualify as the machine was not purchased through a dealer.
