I Installed a 4 valve head and i'm geting an oil leak on the main stud that punches thru the cooling chamber. It appears to be a flaw with this head. They sell an o-ring to put on the stud but it wont seal it. I have even tried epoxy on it. about ready to give up.
can you tell where the leak is? if the case to cylinder gasket gets nicked then it will leak check the valve cover gasket _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's Atv's, parts and repairs. accessories for all makes.

yes i know where it is leaking. the 4 valve head comes with an o-ring which mounts on one of the bottom studs. the reason being, the hole the stud runs through is open to the cooling chamber that runs through the head. the cooling chmber is similar to a 2 valve head. the problem is the stud is not centered in the hole. its off center slightly making an oring useless. I used some epoxy that Jb weld makes and it will work for 3 or 4 days then the leak is back. I was hopeing to find some buggy owners who have installed this head to see if they had the same issue. The oil is leaking out of the cooling vent hole thats next to the exhaust port.
I had to replace the rings on my daughters sunl 150 and had the same problem. It had a bad oil leak, and I used silicone, the high temp stuff. It has worked well, just make sure you let it set up all the way. It's kind of a rinky dink way to fix it but I was out of ideas and had a bad oil leak. Hope that helps you!
