well if you've seen my most recent post someone stole our carter 150cc 2 seater. we are looking to buy another in the 250cc class or possibly the 300cc. not daddy warbucks so budget is a concern. we also would like to get it plated to drive on the street. i would like to know where the best prices are and anything to avoid . we're looking mostly at the carter's and hammerheads as these seem to have gotten the best reviews, but will look at all reccomendations. HELP ME i have 2 broken hearted boys !!! THAT ARE MISSING THEIR BUGGY (ME TOO)
THANKS ROB

this is an impressive buggy.i had added a winch to my 150 that got stolen. i had read the specs for this unit on another site .is the 45 mph real world speed or advertised . my 150 would do 45+ with tire pressure bumped up to decrease rolling resistance. send me your price including shipping to rdscoins @juno.com
thanks rob

I sold one to a customer in south GA, he used a gps and in low gear it will run 31 mph, in high gear 48 mph.

the gearing on the xtx is low so it will climb hills real good. whats your zip code

Hi/Low range transmission, long travel suspension, most clearance of any 250 on the market right now.

Here are the specs and other information about the machine. Some say it is slow and heavy. Some disagree...but they all agree that is a well built, unique design.

http://www.teamjoynerusa.com/250ccSANDVIPER.html

Considering the current state economy that we are in it pays to do you homework. There are less expensive 250 buggys on the market. But what about the invest? If you are going to buy a 250 buggy, wouldn't you want to invest in something that has proven to BE a good investment. I am not just referring to the Joyner machine but there are others that have already been mentioned in this thread.

It is not just the initial expenditure to buy the machine but how much money you have to continue to pump into it to keep in running. Is the dealer/distributor going to take care of you after he has collected your money? Stand behind the warranty?
How easy is it to get parts?

These are all things that factor into the purchase. You can get a low price for a machine but it could very well cost you more in the end. Or you can pay a higher price for a quality machine that has proven to be a lower overall cost because of better customer support network.

Glade

Glade is right, doing as much home work as possible is the key to having a good experience.

That is right, the more info you can collect now the better off you will be.
