YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its running . thank all of you for the helps. carb bowl . jets were disgustingly bad!!!!cant see how it idled at all. Now. I only got one adjustment screw on side of carb. i had messed with it before trying to get it to run better. Now I need to know if there is a default setting , like to screw all the way in and back it out so many turns to start.. at full throttle when i take foot off gas quick i get a back fire. what needs adjusting? thanks yall

marshnme glad that got you going. sounds like it is a little lean on the pilot jet side.air fuel screw on the gy6 carb is turn it out for gas, turn it in for air.
try about 2 turns out to 2 1/4 see how it does.
if it does good there it will probably idle faster so you will probably have back idle down up at cable on carb.
let your engine warm up good before doing this.

ok thanks , i think ive tried from 1 1/4 turns out to 2 turns . i dont think ive tried any more than that. now i have rejetted and k&n filter. and punched out exhaust (about 4 ea holes around tail piece). will this make a difference on the turns with the screw?

it did for me you can see what i'm jetted at i'm running mine at 2 1/4 turns out to get rid of that backfire from letting off the gas at wide open.they say if you have to go past 2 1/2 turns out your pilot jet is not big enough.
i know the factor air screw adjustment was set at 1 3/4 turns out when i got it, checked it and wrote it down so i wouldn't forget it Smile my pilot jet did not have a size marked on it but my main jet was 105.

another thing you can check to is your intake to see if it is leaking, while idling spray some carb cleaner or starting fluid around and over intake and see if the engine changes sounds or dies out.if so it is leaking, just some thing to keep an eye on.

thanks. i already know it is leaking. you know there are two bolts holding it on, the rubber had a crack or slit in it right around the head of the bolt. i took some gasket caulk in a tube and tried to seal it up as best as possible, but i havent trying spraying anything around it to see if leaking. do you know how much a new one is? BigE? $$?

in all honesty you should get a new intake thats hard on the motor leaking like that pulling air around it will make engine run lean and get hot.
give ric duncan a pm or maybe he will see this.he has got a nice performance intake for 19.50 plus shipping 4.80 thats a nice buy.i went through 4 rubber intakes before i put the performance one on.they do make the carb fit a little harder under cross bar but you can make them work.they are worth the little extra work putting them on.
