Sunday, I did some changes... On the rear swingarm of my buggy (where it bolts to the frame) I have a set of holes. 2 sets actually. I decided to try and move the swing are down to the other holes. Once I had it done, I noticed the fuel tank petcock was barely (or so I thought) touching the top of the box housing the electrical stuff. Well, me and my bright ideas, I trimmed back the box, and re sealed it so that it would be water tight. Took her for a spin, and wow, what a differance! It rides much smoother on the road. Well, we decided to go out in the trails... going great until I hit a hole at about full throttle and I heard the loud smash you hear when metals plows into metal, then i smelled gas. Seems i didnt trim enough off that box for the petcock to clear. So now, here I am buggyless. Is there an alternative to that petcock? I thought I saw on here that someone made a new one using a shut off switch and such, but I could be wrong, I couldnt find it if its here. Where can i pick up these petcocks? I think I saw a few on ebay awhile back, but none on any dealer sites....
The swingarm will be returned to its original location as soon as I get a chance to fix it, I dont recommend this adjustment
Any ideas? _________________ 07 Kinroad 150

the fuel petcock is a standard part found on scooters and older motercycles. your local bike shop will have one. _________________ 06/07 GSX 150 Carter Talon

They were having issues with the petcock getting banged when they switched to using certain shocks.
There are some great pictures on page 6 of the thread.
I did this same thing. My petcock was limiting gas flow to the carb, and causing the buggy to bog down when running WOT for any length of time.
I raised my gas tank 5", and replaced the vacuum petcock with a brass 1/4" fitting from home depot, and a manual petcock from Lowes. (The manual gas shutoff valve was found in the lawnmower section)
The sweet part for me, was that my gas tank has a standard 5/16 pipe thread to the petcock, so I was able to just unscrew the petcock, and screw the brass 1/4" hose fitting right onto the tank with no welding required. _________________ Spyder 250 (KTR-250W, or GK-29)

I did go ahead and order and petcock and a new jet from BIGE ( i think, Blade PS is bigE) anyway... If I have the issue again, I will definaely add the manual shut off and stuff. Cant wait to get her going again, only been 4 days, and im goin nutz!! _________________ 07 Kinroad 150
