I did this to an 05 talon, and had no problem with it. I kept it 3 years with the short bolts in there _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

the reason i was asking is i was wondering if he could do something like what i did,i know you and few others had taken the long bolt out and replace with shorts ones with out any problems.when i went to do it i didn't have the bolts i needed on hand so tried some thing different, i just used a straight piece radiator hose 1 1/2 inch long and 1 1/4 ID after doing this i found out i could move the carb forwards or backwards if needed and up or down.so i didn't have to remove the long bolt.
if a person was to try this i wouldn't cut the pipe length any shorter than 1 1/4 inch you don't want carb and intake rubbing together inside of rubber pipe also i used the original hose clamps that came with intake
also if you think radiator won't hold up you could get a piece of rubber industrial 1 1/4 inch ID suction hose.i know with what i did it is probably safe to say i have over 200 miles on buggy after this mod, checked it a few times with no leaks.
just a thought if your height, width and length is not much over the stock 24mm carb
here are a few pictures of my set up, i hope you guys don't think i'm trying to high jack your post just trying to help a fellow buggy rider with a solution to a problem.
also in the pictures a one of them makes it look like the carb is setting at a real bad angle its not its just the way i was holding camera,to show bottom clearance.

I'm going to try the two bolt setup. If you used it for several years and experienced no problems that is good enough for me. I'll have to switch out the long bolt for the two seperate bolts first. Once I have the long bolt replaced I'll try and fit the carb in. If the carb still won't fit I'll resort back to the riser. Why don't you just hold on to the $29. If you are willing to work with me I'll wait until you find out more about your resource for the aluminum option and we'll work from there. Again, I appreciate your feedback and help. It has opened up a few options I would have never thought of.
Thanks,
