The intake manifold riser you sell for $29.00 (including shipping) is junk. Please avoid selling this any further.
The first one you sold me was a horrible weld job. Recall, the flange on one end was welded at an angle.
I appreciate the fact that you made the effort to replace it.
The second one you replaced it with is junk too.
Ever since I have upgraded my carb to the 32mm MRP pumper I have experienced idle and performance problems. After exhaustiing every other avenue I decided to go back to the part I never felt good about - The BIGE intake riser.
I decided to spray some carb cleaner around the welds on the flange while the engine was running and "BINGO" problem solved. The carb cleaner temporarily filled pinholes in and around the weld providing a seal to an otherwise leaky vacuum. As a result, I experienced a smooth idle that I was also able to adjust instead of otherwise.
I know you are a great guy and all. I know you sell recognized manufactured products. But, when you hire someone to cut pipe, flanges and weld them together on the side you need to quality assure your product. Did you seal and pressure test these risers? I know the answer to that question. Would you please send me my money back? I'll be happy to mail you your riser back when I have time to pull it off AGAIN. _________________ '07 Roketa 150cc

I come to the forum to have fun, learn, get advice and recommendations. I consider it of value to bring issues like this to light. I would expect the same from any other on this forum. We help and look out for each other. Someone referred me (from this forum) to BIGE for this particular riser. I have spent too much time and experienced too much frustration to not say anything.
Are you suggesting that I do not make my fellow members of this forum aware of the experience and let them go through the same problems/hassles who might buy this riser unaware?
I'll make it a point not to value anything you contribute to this forum. You have no credability.

The thing that makes Eric so widely respected on the forum isn't that he never has issues with his suppliers, or a bad run of parts, but that he takes care of his customers, no questions asked.
It's good to know that there are dealers here that I can feel completely comfortable ordering parts from, knowing that even if I screw up and ask for the wrong item, or if anything isn't right, they will take care of it, even as Eric is doing here. _________________ Spyder 250 (KTR-250W, or GK-29)

There are plenty of dealers out there that wouldn't give you the time of day with your problem. I also agree that this forum is a place to share our experiences with each other. Andy had a problem with a dealer and he voiced it, nothing wrong with that. We all know that BigE is a class act and will always do what is right.
Andy did nothing wrong here and BigE is making right of the situation. We need more dealers like BigE on here.

Thanks Jabo. Like I said, BIGE is a great guy and well respected. I have no problem buying a recoginized manfucturer product from him. I have no worries here. But, you have to be careful if you are going to take the responsibility to make and sell your own product. The onus is now on BIGE for this item. There is no manufacturer he can go back to for recourse. It is only himself. That is a different level of responsibility than selling anothers product.
The consequence of not quality assuring your product is not worth the impact on your reputation.
You can can consider this negative or you can take it as a positive and fix the problem and preserve your reputation. _________________ '07 Roketa 150cc

the admin edit tells alot. enough said. My point wasnt that you not bring problems to this forum as that is what the forum is here for but you could have called Big E let him rectify the problem then come here tell of your experiance and how it was fixed. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with BIGE and his company. From Andy's first post in this thread he says that he sprayed the intake with carb cleaner and that sealed holes and made the engine run properly. If in fact the intake is pulling air the carb cleaner should had made the engine rpm's rise, not smooth the idle out. Possibly the intake may have holes, but the diagnosis does not jive.
Andy I understand how emotions can get out of control when your aggravated and frustrated, unfortunately it happens to me way to often, but I'm not convinced that you have found the true cause of your engine problems. Best of luck, I can assure you that the members of this sight and BIGE will try to help you get the buggy screaming.
P.S. I installed a 32 mm pumper (MRP Brand) on my 250 joyner and had problems at first. The needle was not set properly for this installation. I also had seen posts where several other members had to make the same adjustment. By the way, I emailed MRP trying to get some info and they never returned any info. He** they don't even list a phone number on their website. Thank goodness I CAN NOT say that about BIGE, Doon, or Glade. _________________ JEHM 150, Joyner 250, Roketa 800

Here's a prime example of the way many dealers treat customers. And MRP is huge. They will not back their dealers or the final consumer.
