The DS650 shocks are 19.375 inches from eye to eye.

I widened the lower shock mount in the front. I cut one mounting tab off and re-welded it in the right location. I had to literally stand on the top of the shocks to force them into the top mounts. I did not have to mod the top mounts.

The lower rear mounts were just bent out to fit the wider shock eye.

I have 10 inches of shock travel in front and rear. I can go 40mph on a rough trail.

40mph!!! I doubt my Reaction can even go 30mph on flat terrain. Other than 400EX shocks on the back and 23x7-10 tires on the front the kart is stock. Unfortunately the stock front design on the newer Reaction limits what I can use for front shocks. I am considering moving the lower shock mounts to the upper a-arms and adding shock towers to eliminate this issue.

Dave
