Whoa - very scary. That stub axle coming out of the differential is very beefy, Hard to believe it broke. Hopefully you were just unlucky enough to get a bad one and it's not a problem with all 1100's. Check the inside of the CV joint - damage there could have caused enough stress to snap the stub.
Good luck finding a fix. Glade at Edge Powersports can probably help you with parts - 208-356-8905.
Keep us posted.

so I went to my dealer and I found out that there is an upgrade for this problum he told me that he has sean this happen befor and now all new 1100 buggys have a limted slip open dif also he had one of them there at the shop and he should it to me. He said that the buggys where made for sand thats way they have a locked dif but more people drive on hard packed dirt witch is varry hard on the locked dif and axels ie axels brakeing .the slip open dif cast $275 .

I brother was driveing the buggy and I sould of known he would brake it hes hard on everthing he drives. he went over a 3 1/2 berm at an slite angle hard on the gas 2 gear got some air and didnt take his foot off the gas in time and I think one wheel landed first got grip and a the axel wind up just sheird off the splin at the dif, also I Just put on my new mud gear tires witch have way more grip then these crapy far east junk

I don't buy that theory. Locked differential will distribute the power more evenly and it is what you want on all of your riding for the best traction unless your riding on the street.
All quads, Rhinos, RZR's have a locked rear end unless they took it from a auto application and made a buggy out of it.
