Well, I am still waiting for the part that needs to be replaced in my gear case. I had been riding my kart with a pair of vice grips locking the kart in forward gear so that it wouldn't jump out while riding. I rode it like this 2 or 3 times and then ventured out without the vice grips and it hasn't jumped out of gear since!
I have flogged the daylights out of it going through mud and up the small ravine that I had previoulsy been having problems getting out of and it has been handling the torture flawlessly. Also, I upgraded my front tires from the stock 19x7-8 to 23x7-10. What a difference these make. I can get over stuff much easier and it appears to turn much better now to. Now for better rear tires.....
