You'll have to excuse me, I'm a relative newbie to go-carts but I've got a burning question I couldn't figure out.
One of my friends wants to try using a DC motor for his homebuilt go-cart. I first I told him he was crazy, but I started wondering about it since. Does anyone have any experience with this or know where I can find some info?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hmmm...will it end up being a go-kart or a golf-cart?

There are electric-powered utility karts like the Bad Boy Buggy

A really efficient high torque electric motor and high current electronic controller will likely cost more than a new scooter engine. If your buddy can find some good deals it would be a nice stealthy buggy.
