Sand Spider width

I'm looking in to buying an atv soon I have been considering a Polaris Razr 800 side by side or a Rhino. I really like the joyner sand spider, but i'm a little concerned about the width of the machine (62in) and it ability in tighter trail terrain was wondering if anyone could give some personal experience on that. Also how good is this machine at climbing hills.

Not sure where your located, but basically it depends on what type of trails are available for you to ride. It wouldn't do any good to buy a vehicle that is not allowed on a majority of the trails you're going ride, but if that's not the case, I would take a good hard look at the Joyner. It will be more stable than the others due to its' width and low center of gravity, and the Joyners have a good suspension with plenty of travel. Haven't had the opportunity to drive a 650, but my 250 has surprised me with some of the hills it has gone up. Go to TeamJoynersUSA website, go to the 650, and watch the video.

There are quite a few members here that have the 650 ss. Check out youtube. There are many good videos of owners and their Sand Spiders Just type in Joyner 650 and you will get a whole selection. This will give you and idea of the performance and fun you can have with the machine in its stock form.

The 650 is better at open spaces than tight ATV trails, but handles 4x4 trails quite well. The traction is good with the locked rear and the suspension will soak up uneven terrain well. When I do technical trails, I would prefer a crawl gear that the Joyner does not have. In the sand, the Joyner is always good for 40 mph plus, but the fourth gear overdrive will bog leaving you with only the first three gears.

My 650 SS is great on 4X4 trails, never been stuck (to bad), heck thats what the winch is for that comes stock on the front, I just added the fast freedy carb set up and it has some real power now for the mud or the sand.

I got mine from Glade and it has been a very solid machine with over 500 miles on it.

Thanks For all your replies.. I have looked at the videos on you tube but most of them are just people running around in circles, doesn't really show them pushin it at all
