ok so i just figure out my 7hp Subaru is the same as a 7hp Robin. The Robin EX-21 is conservatively rated: 7.0HP @ 4000rpm AND 10.26FT*LBS TORQUE @2500rpm. Anyone know of any performance mods?

Ive emailed a few shops that say they will have some power mods available by the end of summer for these engines.

That thing has a 2" inlet and outlet!
Way to big.
I would leave that engine bone stock, and instead of spending money on mods save up and buy a larger engine.
Ebay is your friend, there is tons of small engine parts on it.

I definetly recommend you leave the motor bone stock! Remember this is a learning project for you so "Keep It Simple"!
You can go all out on the next one Wink

Engine is already tuned up. I am goin with this exhaust.

http://www.robertsonstorquetubes.com/products_subaru.htm#subaruSRCC

I have already upped the rpm but still have a throttle stop on it so it doesnt blow.

Opend up the air box
Amsoil 10w30 full synthetic
cleaned the carb
cleaned and re gapped the plug

runs like a champ now. no more stumble or hesitation. Very crisp throttle response. With the Amsoil oil it seems to rev faster too.

Goin to start gathering parts for the build now as time/wife allows.
