joyner motor swap

Has anybody swaped out a motor in a joyner 1600 for a diff.motor.
I trashed my tranny saturday at Waynoka.So i think i will change the tranny and motor i found a turbo 3.8 0ut of a
Buick . Sorry but that motor is waaaaay under power for
that size of buggy NO FUN IN THE SAND AT ALL!!! Evil or Very Mad

let us know how it goes if you do a motor swap i have been thinkin of doin the same thing.

Iam in the process of doing it right now, I found a 3.8 with a automatic transmission, So far i have extended the rear cage 12".. The frame work where the motor mounts sit are ok just a little beefing up is required. The only problem i can see is the wireing from a 4 C. to a V6 fuel injected

Chop , Cut , Rebuild.
