Well, it;s starting to get too hot for the desert and we live in the city. The buggy is sitting in the garage calling our names, wondering what it did wrong, but 100 degree desert heat is too much. Anybody know anywhere in SoCal that is good for summer riding?

Gorman is also a few degrees cooler. It's near Castaic Lake.

I heard Gorman gets crazy crowded, tho. Have you been up there on a weekend? What's it like crowd-wise?

Gorman is very popular. I think it is the closest place to ride if you live in the Los Angeles area. I go there on weekends. The best camping spots get taken early.

I was just wondering if any of you SoCal buggy guys are planning to go out this coming memorial weekend?

We are going to go to either Crab flats to camp overnight or out to Soggy dry lake to camp, the desert is supposed to be 85-90 which is not too bad & it is still cooling off nicely at night.

Soggy is east of Lucerne valley in the Johnson valley OHV area, I was looking here because there is desert roads, the lake bed & hills all in the same area.

If anyone is interested in going there let me know & I will post a map & aerial photo of the camp spot.
