im very sorry i do not have pictures as planned but my wife dropped and broke the camera.
2006 KINROAD SAHARA 150CC 31 TO 37 AXEL SPROCKET REPLACEMENT
~~I wanted more low end torque to stop burning clutches and to climb more and steeper hills so i replaced the stock 31 tooth dual chain sprocket with a 37 tooth from kidNme motorsports.~~~
YOU WILL NEED~~hammer,(2)12mm wreches, axel socket, strong screw driver or chizel,17mm wrench or adjustable wrench, and maybe some Wd-40
1:First pull both rear tires by taking the cartakey from the axel and removing the axel nut(do not remove the 4 lug bolts that hold your tire to the hub it is useless). you may be able to unscrew them with your hand as there isnt much pressure there since the bearing are not on the hub like the front and remove the tire with hub attatched.
2:go ahead and remove the 3 bolts that hold the axel and bearings to the frame there are 3 on either side.
3:take a small screw driver and lightly tap the drivers side bearing off the axel"carefull not to damage the seal" tap closely to the axel.
4:take your chain adjustment nut off "as in if you were to loosen the chain" just take the nut and spacer completely off. take your hand/foot and push down on the engine so that the adjustment bolt can no longer be seen from the top.
5:remove the chain from the bottom sprocket and slide it to the right (close to the disk brake)
NOTE: SOME PEOPLE HAVE FOUND IT EASIER TO TAKE A LINK FROM THE CHAIN AND TOTALLY REMOVE THE CHAIN.
6:remove the 2 12mm bolts from your brake calaper and lay it down without bending the lines are removing them!
7:remove the chain and brake disk gaurds!
8:remove the disk brake and bottom sprocket so that they are hanging on the axel loosely.
*NOW COMES THE TRICKY PART SO PAY ATTENTION*
9:with your buggy firmly on jack stands!
stand behind the buggy and place each hand on either side of the axel near the bearings(left one should be removed) and push the axel towards the front of the buggy and then downward in one motion.
10:slide the axel to the right (passenger side) and bring the right side towards you sliding the entire axel out of the chain"you may have to play with the chain if have it in a bind. if you removed the chain you wont have to worry"
i know your thinking that it was useless to remove the bolts from the brake disk BUT if you do not you will not have the clearance to push the axel forward and downward as it will hit the frame.
11:Install your new sprocket and inspect your axel bearings and regrease as needed.
12:follow the reverse steps for install.
NOTE: some people have found it nessasary to install 1 or 2 chain links as the sprocket is bigger and takes more chain. but i did not have to install any links i was lucky that i had a stretched out dualchain. oh and i did not have to throw away any gaurds. there was enough clearance to reinstall them
i have installed 8 gram rollers in my kinroad and it did not have any effect on dead take off but this sprocket will.
I HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE AND I HAVE COVERED EVERYTHING PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I MISSED SOMETHING AS I AM JUST TRYING TO PUT BACK WHAT I RECIEVED FROM HERE.

i know alot of people are looking for that extra torque to spin the tires and i finally found it, which wasnt easy with my dual chain.
i tested it last night for a few minutes cause it was raining but it will do a donut in the middle of the road even with the big tires i have.
and when i installed mine i looked everywhere for some help. stanguy helped me but he was stuck on the chain link part and didnt tell the outcome

well kind of stuck on the extra chain links. i didnt use my old stretched out chain. i bought a new chain with the new sprocket. so it was a tight fit. yes the outcome was day and night with performance. i can whip some mean donuts in the field out by my house. excellent in mud and on soft sand.
kracker. good job on step by steping the tear down and re build. i wish that was there when i did my sprocket change. sometimes im just bad with wording things to explain how i did it. im mechanicly inclined. always hands on. need a bit of work on the process wording maybe knowing the proper terminalogy for parts would help out......

you bought a new chain? that dual chain should have lasted you forever. anyhow just remove the link off the old chain and put on your new one. i seriously doubt it will break. if i had of needed a link in mine i was going to order extras and send you a few. if i knew the size of the chain i could still check or if i had an old link im pretty sure i could get one

bro the reason i got a new chain is because my old one was in very bad condition. i had 3 to 5 links in a row here and there that were very hard to move back and forth. very stiff. i soaked the chain in a dry cleaning solvent (PD-680) at work and it didnt help much. so i had to toss it. now im way more attentive to the chain. i have 3 huge cans of chain lube. i lube before i ride well. then at the end of the day i clean and relube for storeage till the next weekend i ride.

I'm surprised you guys lost as much speed as me. I went from a 31T to 39T axle sprocket plus an A12 torque cam and also lost 4 or 5 mph. Physikal's stock Twister 150 was able to out run my modified Yerf on flats.
