My Reation 150 has 22X10-10 tires standard. I found a smoking deal on some Carlisle AT489 in size 24X11-10 for $25 each! I bought them. Can my buggy haul these tires? I have upgraded my main jet, intake filter, exhaust, torque spring and clutch springs. Can my buggy handle this? _________________ ALZWEL (Frank)

Putting those tires on your buggy will give it a 8.5% overdrive. Although you will be still be able to move fine on flats, that overdrive is going to hurt on hills. You can add a 32mm carburetor, A12 torque cam and/or 39t axle sprocket to compensate, but remember heavier tires will sap more from the engine than lighter ones. _________________ 08 Joyner SViper 250

I had 25" tires on my karts. You will loose a little low end. I needed the tires for clearence issues I have around here. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Well, I put on the larger tires on the rear and gained 2 mph in top speed. My hill climbing did not suffer but probably because of the more aggressive tread on the new tires. All my driving is in the Arizona desert which is dry/sandy/rocky. I have noticed that I need less throttle to climb the hills, but again that is probably due to the tread of the tires. _________________ ALZWEL (Frank)

24" tires are an 8.4% overdrive to current gearing. With the 37t sprocket resulting in a 13.4% underdrive, it will still be better than stock. Will it be good enough? _________________ 08 Joyner SViper 250
