I have a Blade '06 DX 150.

I hadn't used the buggy in a while. After we finally got it started, it ran good for about 10-15 minutes. During a run around the track, my first thought was that something had punctured one of the tires. The sound slightly resembled the unplugging of an air compressor hose (under pressure of course). I looked at the buggy later and saw that a hose in the back was disconnected. It had also sprayed a substance that seemed to be oil.

Can someone help me by identifying the hose and its purpose? It has happened twice so far, and I'm not sure how it will affect the buggy.

Thanks

Where does the other end of the hose go? Do you have a picture of the other side of the carb?

Looks like the vent hose for the crankcase. It is there to keep pressure from building up in the engine. Some sort of tiny critter probably made a home in the hose while it was sitting up. It could also be kinked somewhere. The other end should be open, make sure its not blocked and your problem should go away.

You might check your oil level. If the oil level is too high, it will blow oil through that hose.

G-Ray, are you interested in getting together for a day at Busco Beach in July with a group of other BN.com members?

Team913 I'm all for it. I'll probably be working a shutdown the Last weekend in June and the first weekend in July but any other time works for me.
