Man I wish I could make that work, but I don't think it's in the cards for this weekend. You'll have fun. There's some kind of mud bog event going on Saturday that might be fun to watch. Here's the info: MUD BOG EVENT May 10, 2008 Hosted by Atkinson Motorsports Park TIME: Gates open at 9:00am. Racing starting at noon 12:00pm COST: Normal gate fees for the day. $17.00/adult $10.00/child (under 1 $10.00/spectator EVENT COST: $15.00/per class The park will be open for riders all day except for designated race areas. Everyone who is riding will be able to watch the event. If you choose to participate in the event you will have to pay the race fees. The mud bog event is not run by Atkinson Motorsports Park, we are just hosting the event. Press Release: Atkinson Motorsports Park in Atkinson, IL a local ATV/Dirt Bike riding facility will host on Saturday May 10th Northwoods Mud Racing Series. This is a first in our area for a rapidly growing sport. ATVs will race side by side across and through some deep water. Some of these racers have over $ 25000.00 invested in their ATVs. They are designed to go through deep water and keep going. This sport is really growing fast in the south and also in northern Wisconsin. Northwoods Mud Racing Series is headquartered in Wisconsin and they have been wanting to have a points race in Illinois and have selected the all New Atkinson Motorsports Park just east of Atkinson, IL. There will be many race classes: Kids, Adults, Rookies and teams. So anyone wanting to get a little muddy can join the fun and enter. Gates at Atkinson Motorsports park open Sat. morning at 9:00am and the Mud Racing and Challenge course racing will begin @ noon. Yep. The Atkinson Motorsports park is the same thing as GOB Hill. I can't make it.
