OK BN Members and Guest:
Some of you know I jumped the gun a bit thinking the Blade 250single was coming out this Spring, and I sold my Carter gx150. So how is a BuggyNews Moderator suppose to have any credibility here when he dosen't own a buggy? Spring is here, Summer is almost here, so knowing I needed to get my buggy game back on I found a 2004 Dazon 150single that was very affordable and itis now in the Team913 garage.
I must say I am quite impressed with the Dazon. The motor is very smooth and it has quite a bit of power for a little 150cc engine, more power and runs smoother than my gx. The only mod it has now is a really nice custom built exhaust. I like it so much I seriously doubt I would even consider replacing it with an Eastside or any other brand we have available. Of course I will install a UNI, rejet, etc the carb. It handles good but is a bit narrow for my kind of "drive it like I stole it" driving, so a set of wheel spacers is in order to hold it on all four tires going fast in a turn. I have a new Dr. Pully clutch and variator that I never installed on my gx, so that will go on as well.
The thing I do not like about it is the seat and seat/shoulder belts. I think the seat was an afterthought from the factory, and someone bolted in a seat from a Chinese farm tractor. It is very plain and you do not sit in the seat, you sort of sit on it. This is easy enough to change and will be done so sometime in the near future.
So anyway, that is the latest from me, your Team913 BuggyNews Moderator
BTW, I welcome any comments/advice from Dazon owners. Also of course I have an open ear from any one else here who would like to offer a comment or suggestion Thanks

I got to try van's buggy tonight, It's a hauler, got tons of bottom end power. It comes off the corners like a rocket! I am a bit leary of this particular buggy because it is the same dazon I flipped and cracked ribs with last summer. I didn't push it too hard, not wanting a repeat with the proud new owner standing there. Van, you got a deal on this one. Only problem I see is what to do with that "loose nut" behind the steering wheel. _________________ 3206 yerf. too many mods to list. easier to list what has not been modified- seats and steering wheel. plus one set of kidinme's hand made special collectors edition fuzzy dice
It's about time you got back in the saddle again. Lets see it. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Now, add 100 more cc's and keep the single seat !!
Congrats man, hope it all works for you and you enjoy it for a long time to come. I've just ordered honda 400ex shocks for my front and sno-mobile shocks (with res.) for my back. If the suspension is stock I def reccomend getting rid of them. Good luck van and now could have a Cackalacki Dazon meet , hahahaha!!

Good choice on the shocks James. You'll have to let me know how they perform. Last night Charlie and I were talking about replacing the front ones for sure. Hopefully the ones I take off will fit my old Rupp minibike therefore making it good all the way around.
James keep in mind going to Busco Beach this summer after you return from duty. There is alot going on in June so the plan for now is to try to put something together for July. Try not to sell your buggy before then. (I read your "Buggy For Sale" post and was too sad about it to reply )
HAHA anyway, I think we'll have fun, see ya'

Well its more like on the saddle. I definetly NEED a better saddle for this thing _________________ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!
