Does anyone know where you can get a rack & Pinion like the one on the Roketa GK-32. I need an one for another buggy.
Thanks,

you can get various size racks from here:

http://www.desertkarts.com/item163927.ctlg

This is the smallest one. They have 11" and 14" racks as well. Do not hesitate to do business with this vendor. They are on my "good guys" list.

later...Mick

mick thanks for the update. I am looking for a Heavy duty rack for my vw sand rail. I really like the way the one on the Gk-32 worked this past weekend going over logs, rocks, etc. With the mod's that west coast helped me with, Cam, and head shave. the GK-32 can now go where we go. Hill climbs though extreme terran. But my little rack I put on my sand rail, the rack turn ratio is way to quick. so when you hit rocks, logs and real big wash outs, it wants to take the steering wheel away from you. Not so on with the rack on the Gk-32. it's turn ratio is much slower. I got the 14 inch rack, way to quick and not heavy enough for my application. What do you think of this one.

Thanks,

laymansm thanks for the info. I sent and email to them, will call later on today. Do you remember about how much it cost and did it come with tie rods?
Thanks,
Keith

laymansm,
I got in touch with Shane and he had the rack and pinion with Tie rods and rod end in stock. Since I know I like this rack & Pinion I went ahead and placed an order for one. Thanks for info.

glad I could help. I looked at the desert kart site before I bought mine. Decided the oem was a good system.

yes I agree this system works well in extreme rough terrain. and the turning ratio is slow enough you don't get alot of feedback when going over rocks and though washout's. Again thanks for the info.
