I bought a 32mm pump carb from edge powersport.

It came with an extra needle, anyone knows what that is for?

I replaced the pilot jet with a #38. The original didn't have a number on it

The main jet is original a 130, i am up to a 138 now, but still running lean.

the fuel/air mixture screw, is turning in more fuel?

make sure you are getting enough gas to carb. my joyner I put the 32 mm carb on and was all the way up to a 185 main jet. put bigger fuel line on and went back down to 135 main jet. runs good.

The new performance CDIs for the 250s are adjustable rev limiters.

I bought it from BIGE!!

I am still wondering what the extra needle is for?

The extra needle is just a different size used for tuning. The one that is already installed should be sufficient, though. The extra needle is something new that is coming with the 32mm kit.

I don't know of anyone that has used it yet.

I got one too with my MRP 32mm carb. Curiousity kills the cat. Hey Kidnme, how about calling your buddy Joel and finding out whats up?

Doonrunr are you saying this extra needle should be installed while we're adjusting the carb?

I think the extra needle is there if needed but the way the needle is set up out of the box is sufficient.

The needle controls the amount of fuel according to the position of the slide. The needle is tapered so the higher the slide the more fuel. a thinner needle will give you more gas at part throttle. On some carbs the needle height is adjustable. Raising the needle will do the same thing.
