Hi Everyone,

I have been reading the suggestions everyone has had in order to honor Steve's memory. They are all so wonderful. You are all truly caring people.

Please-any money raised please donate to a charity in Steve's honor. I am trying to think of one that Steve would have liked. The Pharmacy School he went to was University of Rhode Island. It would be nice to have a scholarship in his name to help students less fortunate. He had to work 3 jobs to pay for college all while going to pharmacy school full time.

Me and the kids are doing ok financially. Emotionally we are hanging in there. We miss him, but we must carry on.

His grave stone has a buggy on it-some might think that is tacky-but I thought he'd like it. He's is burried in my family's plot next to my father,my grandparents and my uncle. I felt he would be "watched over" by them. It is a beautiful, wooded place. He loved nature.

Steve loved this site and the people on it. Go to the buggybash and have fun-have fun for him.

"Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all."

Thank you all for your love and kindness-

Sue Hopkins and Family

God bless you and your family Sue. I know I speak for everyone here when I say this... If there is ANYTHING you ever need, PLEASE, never hesitate to ask! We all miss Steve dearly, and we all think about him, The bash this year will be a blast, and that is all thanks to what Steve started. We'll put something nice together I am sure...

Thank you so much for everything your husband gave us, Sue. He is missed everytime a post is made on this site.

As per his headstone, I think it would be an injustice if there wanst a buggy on it! I am sure he is smiling right now thinking about it...

God bless and take care!

John

Bless you and the children Sue. I think creating a scholarship fund in Steve's name for the University of Rhode Island would be fantastic. I hope you are all doing. Steve will never be forgotten around here. Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts.

Glad to hear from you Sue, hope you and the kids are
doing fine. I think a scholarship fund like that, is a
perfect idea, in memory of Steve.

Sue,

My family and I just had a tour at URI. My daughter's a Junior in High School and URI is on her list of schools.

During the tour there was much discussion about the School of Pharmacy and how expensive it is and how they fill the class up quickly.

The average GPA of an incoming Pharm School freshman is something like 3.9. The SAT scores are high as well.

URI is a good school. It's small, personal and is on the cutting edge of some really good research. It's a small state school with a private school charm.

As John indicated, if there's anything you ever need please let us know. Adam and I are only a matter minutes away. Within a few hours there's quite a few of us that would be more than happy to help out.

From all of us here at BuggyNews, once again, thank you.

Sue, It's very good to hear that you and the kids are making it. I never knew Steve as a person but if not for him I would have missed soo much that BN has given me. As a soldier/Sailor I proudly salute you guys for such an optimistic point of view and wish the best to everyone in your family. I'd be honored to put a chunk of my hard earned money to remember your husband into a pharmacy scholarship at URI. I also agree he, hands down, would love the buggy on the tombstone. Like i said, I've never met Steve or you in person but if you need anything I also would like to help in any way possible.

Best Wishes,

James Erb
