The new larger sprocket on the 2008 250 Joyners
don't fit on an 2007 model. It's to big in diameter, the
chain rubs on the frame, and the new longer chain is
two links to short at the shortest adjustment. Just
letting guys know this before you go through the
hassle of taking the rear assembly all apart.

I hope you didn't waste too much time doing that. That sucks.

Did you get the rest of your stuff in - buggy back together?

I was able to put the 43 sprocket on my 2007 Joyner 250cc just fine. Slide the new sprocket on the shaft, but don't bolt the sprocket to the shaft until you get the shaft back into place with the four bolts that hold it to the frame. After everything is back in place, then put the six bolts into the sprocket bolting to the shaft. You need the extra play to get it in there. I had to add one #530 half link to the chain. I get them for $3.50 ea. Works like a charm. The chain is way to tight to run on the Joyner without the half link. After the chain stretches some, then the half can be taken back out.

Do you guys have a picture of this sprocket? I am looking for a 520 sprocket with about 40ish teeth.

I was able to mount the sprocket on the shaft, that
I could do in the dark with both eyes closed Rolling Eyes
When I slid the sprocket axle all the way forward and
tryed to hook up the chain, for one, the front of the chain was rubbing the cross brace, so I had to slide
the sprocket back an inch to clear the crossbrace,
when doing that, I ended up being two links short in
the chain, so I added two links. Then when sliding
sprocket axle back to tighten chain, the pillow blocks
hit the back of the cross frame, not allowing the
chain to tenson up correctly, besides that, the two
adjustment bolts were going to be a 1 1/2" to short to
hold the pillow blocks in place. Maybe my carrier frame
is built differant than others, don't know, all I know, is that sprocket and chain don't fit my buggy!

Here's a couple of links for some 520's. Just need to machine the center to YOUR hub. I did for $10 at my local machine shop. You geared too high?

Don't know how I missed that! That's cool. My 8yr old girl is driving me nuts to have something smaller than Dad's buggy. Laughing
