You 3 cant get this done alone, unite the... Buggiers, 4 wheeler groups, snowmobilers, dirt bikers, even the horsey crowd, often even the hikers share some of the opinions you need.
I wish! It's impossible to unite offroaders. The snowmobilers want to keep their trails to themselves, as do the bikers. Both calaim wheelers cause huge damage to trails. The wheelers claim the UTVs cause huge damage. It's just ridiculous that all us guys who enjoy the same activity can't see the common ground. _________________ _________________

Often a challenge But not impossible... Im a dues paying member w/local m/x, & snowmobile (& dont even sled anymore) clubs, & member on other forums (4x4; Jeep style, club, & quad group, also Thumper talk member) Almost all of these groups have a Lands Coordinator/Public Lands Issues chairman, or whatever they might call it; This is usually a Best place to start (make a friend). Many of these groups fund lobbying, & have great connections, new ideas, etc.
Your cause is worthy, & is/should be important to all such groups. I really think you need the numbers !!
Again Best of Luck... _________________ Team Farm...

There's been alot of chatter about this bill in recent months from both sides of the fence. I would have to say from what I have read that nearly all the local business' affected by this bill are in favor of it. Nearly all riders from all the different groups are all for it. There are a few that are dead set against it and seem to be making the most noise.
There's a site you can go to and voice your opinion on whether you support this bill or not. If you care to voice your opinion on this bill, in State or not, the link is provided below
This bill is a very pivotal bill. If it passes it's still up to the affected individual counties to draft a ordinance allowing roadside travel or to not allow it. If it doesn't pass many of the current counties that already have a ordinance in place may have to remove their ordinance from their local laws and not allow roadside travel anymore and this may even spread into the U.P. of Michigan.
So you can see how important this bill is for Michigan off-roaders and the future of the sport in this State. _________________ Demetrio aka "D"
Your right D. Very pivotal bill here. I could read all those quotes for hours, interesting reading both sides. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

You are right, there is two sides to this story and one of the main ones is that Michigan and Lake County are in terrible shape. Will this fix everything? Heck not, but it sure will help. The people that don't want to have this bill pass are doing their best to stop it. They even bring their Lawyers to the commissioner meeting to intimidate the commissioners to keep it the way it is. But if enough people, that do want it to pass, take the time to call and email their thoughts to the senators and commissioners, it will make a difference. www.wolflakemotel.com Tim _________________ Wolf Lake Motel & Resort & ATV Rentals is a full service Lakeside Resort located one mile from the Little Manistee, Lincoln Hills, Little O and Tin Cup trails in Lake County, Michigan. I did go to the public hearing in Lansing on the 16th and it sounds good, but we still need to keep the emails going to the senators. The vote is this week. www.wolflakemotel.com We can make it happen.
