on this 1 i got some specila u clamps that i got at a atv shop 4 winchs that i put them on the lower bar 2 hold the plate on i did not get a pic. of them i am going 2 get 2 more need some 4 the top of the bar 4 better support

this switch i got from ace hardware and i made a hole right next 2 the liter outlit it works better then the one that came with the winch

Make sure to put a fuse on it, those wires look
pretty small for a winch.

i would think those pieces of steel brackets would eventually bend. have you put it under the load test to make shure?

One thing that scares me about a winch is the controller is wired straight to the battery so if anything goes wrong like the rocker switch shorting out, sticking, gets bumped, etc the winch can activate. It can rewind until it jams and strips gears or burns up wires--maybe even cause a fire. It could also unwind and you might hook something as you're flying down the trail and whip you around so fast you could be seriously injured.

Be safer and put a power switch between the rocker and the controller.
