Sounds like a fuel issue to me. First thing I would look at is the fuel filter. Starts but doesn't take fuel, makes me think fuel flow is inadequate. Spark and ignition sounds O.K. since it will start. Another possibility is a crack in the rubber intake between the carb and the engine, causing a lean condition. I would definitely check it out with the carb cleaner like chpwhitedoors said. _________________ ACE 250R2 uni with 125 jet, stock exhaust

I had the same problem on my buggy. The exhaust header was plugged mine has a pipe inside the header and the inner tube colapsed causing a restriction in the flow of exhast. Also my woodriff key had sheared maiking it out of time. Try to run a wire or coat hanger through the exhaust header.

thanks for al the help.
it ended up being the coil.
I had a performance coil ordered from BIGE and as soon as i put it in my problem was gone.
Now i got to play with the new CDI.

Well I was kinda right. I was guessing ignition because of the symptoms. I'll file that one away. Glad you found the problem. _________________ 87 Toyota 4runner 4x4 (built to the hilt)
