WoW, here is yet another fine example of Chineese workmanship. I aquired this engine as a core for a rebuilt unit I had sold. It had some head and valve train issues. I tore it down to see what I had to work with. When I pulled #3 piston and rod the bearing was in good shape but had a kind of film on it. Closer inspection showed the oil journal on the crank was plugged with something. I got out a seal pick and pulled it out "holly crap" it was almost an inch long and slightly smaller that the hole dia. I scratched my head for a while as I pulled the rest of the bottom end down. I kept finding small pieces of "stuff" in the oil ports , like plastic. I figured out it was plastic blast media from the crank cleaning process. I called my factory insider in China ( Stone)and sure enough they plasta blast the cranks and obviousely they didnt get this one clean.
Just another thing to keep in mind if you have oil presure problems...
The only bonus was it didnt hurt anything, there was enough clearance for oil to get by the plug.. Crazy stuff!! Shocked

Ya, the only problem with this engine is where it was plugged you wouldent have noticed any presure problem. I dont know what the fix would be other than tearing it down and cleaning but thats hard to justify if its running ok.
I did get finished with cleaning the parts and ended up with enough plastic to almost fill a thimble.
I cant belive how good the bearings look, but there going in the trash anyhow.
