Hi eric,
I installed the rollers. No problem
When i was going to install the main spring i noticed that the thickness of the spring thread of the stock spring is bigger then the blue spring you sent me.
I din't change the main spring yet.
I want to make sure that this means that my stock spring is not already better then the blue spring.
The other reason why i haven't changed it yet is because the freaking nut.
what size is this? 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 ?
I don't have a socket that size for my impact wrench and other attempts failed.

Hey Wesece,
Nuts and bolts on most buggies are metric.
For the spring, I measure mine on a bathroom scale.
Works fine for me...

Ohhh. you mean that nut...
I clamp it in a vice and use a strap wrench round the clutch to get it partially loose (and tighten when put back on).
Then I put the assembly on the floor, put my foot on it and loosen it further. Ease off my foot while holding it down with both hands.
Loosening it in one go, is a bit dangerous...
There's a lot of force behind the torque spring (hence the name 'facebuster').

the facebuster didn't get me lol
I got the main spring replaced with the blue main spring.
The blue spring was just a bit wider, but i guess it works.
Bige,
I am going to order the high performance coil and cdi
is the advanced timing set on the cdi?
still have the problem when hitting the throttle fast to about 1/4 or just past that the engine spotters and eventually dies if i keep the throttle there. once past that point it runs great.
maybee with the larger jet and some richer mixture helps solve this.
I am also thinking the slow or idlle jet?

I just changed to the tall blue spring in mine, and also tried the clutch springs. the clutch springs work nice, I will have them on the websight tomorrow.
the 250 cdi is adjustable so you can dial it in the way you want it. and it sounds like you need a bigger slow jet. I have some #38 and #40 _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

Hi Eric,
Just wondering would that CDI function on the GTR'?
If it's adjustable maybe it would.
