We try to go twice a year on extended weekends, so you must have missed our Yerf-Dogs. Since you are the local, can we direct questions at you if someone needs help with lodging or has questions about ORV restrictions?

shure ill try the best i can to help out any questions, acually i was there last saturday on 4-wheelers, (close enought to make a day trip) as far as lodging goes, it you want a hotel room for memorial day weekend, better call for reservations now, if you motor home, you might be able to find a spot to camp, tent camping its alright, aslong as the wind keeps down, but if it kicks up, normaly no more than 4-5 hours, and when it dies down, oh baby, the sand is like a parking lot... what else can i pitch.... oh yea, bring shade, two camp trailers with a tarp between them is a life saver, and the more people in a camp the better. its nice to run to the store or wall-mart (10 min away) to get some more ice, or something and have some-one look after your gear,
The grand county sherif dept. is top notch there at the dunes, keeps most of the trouble makers in line, and there medical evac (just in case) is better than most city programs, you ought to see the lifted 4wd ambulence blast over the sand with lights blaring. not that im saying it good some one got hurt, that truck is just a sight to behold.... also on safty. a whip antenna/6 or 7 foot flag is almost required, some dunes are tall and steep, and that flag will let some of the faster rigs to avoid ya.... any thing else any one wants to know, ill toss in my two cents.

Update your location in your profile and add your buggy description to your signature so your neighboring buggiers know about you.

I just contacted one via Craig's List that lives less 10 miles from me and visits Buggy News. He didn't have his location posted...
