SO i was reaading an article at Carter's website that appeared in a Toyhauler magazine where they interviewed the CEO of Carter Brothers, discussed their relationship with SYM and got a little tidbit about what may be coming this year....a four wheel drive larger than the 300.......onyl SYM engine I know of larger than the 300, and it's 4 wheel drive, is the 600 in the quadraider. I wonder if they mean a buggy is on the way with that engine?....

Anyway, it's a great article, they talk about how they openly courted SYM to separate themselves from the chinese engines. They also talked about their manufacturing facility in China, which was interesting---they own it. They keep 8 Americans and 25 support staff onsite at all times down there to ensure that the factory produces buggies that meet American standards. Anyway, you can find it under the download section at carterbro.com

Thanks for that info. Looks like Carter has grabbed the ball and are running with it. Good for Carter and the sport.

Sounds interesting. Must do some reading I think...

Don't get me wrong here, I love my GTR.
And the fact that it's of an American company,
had quite some influence on my choice (especially for parts).

The engine is super... I had an American build bike for some time, and I must say, never seen better or cleaner welds on any machine I owned.
But the welding on the GTR doesn't even come close to that standard. So I'm not overly impressed with all standards applied to the buggy. I think the American management still has some work to do over there. The Chinese still have much to learn.
(let's not teach them all we know)

A buggy larger than the 250/300? Engine wise I'd say bring it on... But at 63 inches I already have to build a custom trailer for it. Would hope they make it even wider.
To me part of the appeal is the fact that these buggies are small.
If I wanted something bigger.
I would have bought a full-size one (Drakart or something like it)

Over here they sell a four wheel drive buggy.
I think I'll pass... to much stuff that can go wrong.
Keeping in mind that thing is made in China too.

But then again all speculating... let's wait and see.
Found a good pic of that ATV (love the wheels).
