Yep- supplier states no need for front plates so its now hanging in my daughters bedroom.
Went out yesterday to get the miles on it needed to break the engine in.
Did I tell you THIS IS BLOODY AWESOME!!!!!!
Even while only being able to keep the speeds to an absolute minimum at the moment I had the biggest buzz since riding my 1200 for the first time.
I filled up in the local garage and I felt like a God. Comments like " Is that road legal" and "Can I have a ride" were abound. Oh god if only they'd had these 20 years ago.
For the young or single guys in the Uk my advise is get one of these- they are babe magnets..trust me.
Sounds like fun. Here in California they have some pretty rough restrictions, but i'm gonna look into it. Sounds like something i would want to do. Good luck and keep us posted!
I only have a rear plate on my pgo 250...been pulled a couple of times on way to off road tracks..but the police just want to have a look as they had not seen one before,They did not mention about the front plate.Looks better without.
No photos as yet sorry.
Got the chance to drive it to work the other day. 3rd street I drove down and I saw a familiar blue flashing light in mirrors and immediate thought " I cant believe it " but he went straight passed me . Am I paronoid or what?? I guess I just cant believe these are street-legal.
Anyway , reaction from a factory(180 plus employees) full of boring no-lifers.
1) Woh thats excellent can I have a go. NO buy your own.
2) What the hell possessed you to buy one of them? Various things , Wife lost confidence using the bike, kids are safer, its GREAT driving it , you know the normal stuff.
3) Didnt Anika Rice have one of those? Are you jellous then?
4) I saw you coming in and thought "look at that mushroom head!!Then saw it was you and changed my mind." Fu@k off twat.
5) How fast does it go? What engine has it got - FINALLY SOME INTEREST???
6) What if it rains? I get wet!! Stupid.
7) Do you want any stickers making? - He has a vinyl cutter and offered to do designs for it.
An expected mixed reaction from those who are envious to those who actually like the idea.
What matters though is that it got me to work via a motorway, I actually enjoyed going to work and was looking forward to the drive home , and
EVERYBODY had a look.
Result!!
Nice cowl cover on your Joyner. Team Farm was looking for a way to enclose his front end. Did that come from Joyner or something you fabricated? _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250
