yep its strange, Drywalljohnny on here has a newer gtr and I know his has 8 rollers. Mark send me a copy of the shipping slip in with the sliders so I can credit that to ya also.
I will call Carter and see what Chuck has to say about 6 and 8 groove variators on them. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

got off the phone with mrp, they said that there are six and eight roller variators. the eight roller version takes the smaller sliders. ( nice to know that now ) Chuck at carter brothers does not know of an eight roller variator but is going to check on it.
I have 6 packs coming to me now, and also have the hit clutch for the gtr in stock, you want me to send the new sliders to ya when they come in?
Can I get a picture of the eight roller variator to send to carter _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

If the 8 roller doesn't ring a bell with Chuck at Carter's.
I strongly suspect that they're not commonly used on GTRs.
Maybe DrywallJohny just used 6 sliders out of the 8 set (see below)
Did MRP also know which 8 roller could be on some GTRs?
Don't assume that their 8 roller sets are for GTR.
As with the 6 rollers they come in different sizes too.
The 28x20's being just one of them (they're originally used for 500-600cc variators).
That size however may actually work in a 6 roller GTR variator.
The 1mm space left over in width will probably be just to small to get them to stuck in the ramps. And the 3mm extra hight should result in the whole gear range being higher.
But I doubt if the belt can go that high up the half puly.
So this maybe something to try for the very brave among us...
Team Farm, the 8 roller set you want is way to heavy.
That's 8x20=160 grams. The 6 rollers are 6x18=108 grams.
See what i mean, will be like driving of in 3th gear.
If there are 8 roller variators for GTR (which I'm doubting now)
The most likely use 14 or 15 gram rollers.
Please... do us a favor and open up your variator.
Tell us if it's a 6 or 8 roller.
Eric, I'm very curious for the definitive answer to this ridle.
Because when I know which size rolers the 8 roler takes...
...then I can find an aftermarket variator that fits (I already have some shortlisted).
Ideas for the video get better and better... bikini girls...
I like it... doing the wrenching perhaps... lol

Chuck did say that the factory will stick stuff on there and not tell them. I have the lighter sliders coming in. I read your list and am greatful that you took the time to do that. it will help all the people with the gtr.
Mrp said that dr pulley puts eight in the pack for the gtr altho you only need six.
now i'm confused _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

Ive got a set comeing in fri.allso confirmed the gtr will fit on dyno, hope get to the dyno by next weekend ive got to round up a trailer.Wish i had the cash for a before and after dyno pull. Anyone know if the gtr has any dyno sheets.
Eric, what are they saying?
This is funny, seems I was pretty close
with my wild theory on just using 6 of 8.
I can't hold it in any longer...
...don't believe a word of that load of BS!!!
...they are definably not the right size!
Did they even open up a GTR variator I wonder?
I did... and I'm pretty sure, no very sure...
I got the right set of sliders in my CVT.
And they are 25 x 22,2 mm.
Measured and weighted my stock rollers before ordering.
Then ordered sliders for E-ton Vector (exact same engine?)
Measure twice order once...
And they came in a pack of 6! See pic.

E-ton, thats what I was trying to remember. I read one of your earlier post and you mentioned that. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything
