OUR TRIP:
We left home on Saturday morning and arrived about 9:30 Saturday morning. Arrived unloaded and got on the MX track. After spending most of the winter doing mods and repaires I was ready to ride. Took the first lap just trying out the buggy, the steering mod worked out great just folded over the mudflat twice all weekend. On the next laps I put more meat on it and hopped the table tops and more. Talked, meet, and visited while everyone ate a bite and got ready for a long ride. Left out and had a great time cutting down dirt/sand roads. Opening up the throttle cutting loose. We got to the sand dunes and on the first climb upon ariving to the dunes I noticed the ITP Mudlites were digging too much on the sand. Aired down the tires and it did much better. The GTR climbed great and down in a small track the quads had dug out the GTR cornered and hopped the sand wonderfully. I still have the rear Holeshot tires and I may be getting a extra set of rear rims to mount them for the dunes. On the way back to the house I had one of Team Farms kids with me. He really loved it when I could open it up to full throttle. Of corse in typical GTR fashion my speedo dosen't work so I still don't know the top speed.
Getting back to the house I tightend soome loose bolts that I discovered on the ride. Ate lunch from the fantastic spread provided by Team Farms wife and checked into the hotel. Back to Team Farm for time on the Track and a long ride to some GREAT climbs and gullys/ridges. Team Farm and I discused the stability of the GTRs He hadn't done much side tiping (or leaning I guess would be the word) I laid off after noticing a possible strut problem and didn't want to push it too much. Headed for a long fast ride home. It was great 4 buggys funning fast along dirt/gravel roads. I stayed on the heals of Pghruby's Joyner 650 no matter how fast or how he cornered I stayed right on his tail.... Due to the fact that about half way back to the house my fuel petcock snaped and drained my full tank of fuel out on the ground. When I looked under the buggy it was dangeling to the ground and just dumping fuel. So took a strap from mine to the joyner headed back in tow. The girls met us with a truck and trailer to haul it home and I got to ride in the Joyner. (My wife says I can't have one, I asked) My GTR was done about dark on Saturday but No complaints the weekend wasn't ruined. Good food, company, and fun was had by all. Warm fire outside and again a fully belly provided by TeamFarm and Family. I wouldn't trade this weekend for anything.
Now as usual I have some repaires to make. Some I knew about but was puting off and a new one (petcock). Nothing serious. Thank you again for an exelent weekend TeamFarm and Pghruby. Look forward to gathering again. _________________ Worst case senerio: Heaven... I don't see the problem.
Shut; the yerf fuel prob nothing for such a tech minded, detail oreinted, cat like pghruby to adjust away. His buggies showed up more prepped & ready for serious fun, than you would beleive... I had the more serious; first real break down of ride on day two, after high speed run to smaller set of dunes, on 1st turn of 1st lap on short sand loop, GTR struts ball joint took a puuuck. Couldnt help but smile & laugh tho, as I at least we made it to destination #1 where all had fun (after helping load my 250 up for trailer trip back to my lit'l shop - where it just so happened I had new pair of struts on bench), almost had install complete by the time The Pack rode the 10+ miles back to Team Farm Headquarters. Modified our afternoon ride plans, ditched the girls, & headed for Bluffs above Columbia River, & rode till dusk... I personally had an A++ day (entire w/end = A++++ )even w/my breakdown/delay, & Dee4Lee's minor prob. failed to stop the fun ... But thats Dee4Lee's story to tell...

I am trying to add a video of me in that little spot where the quads cut out a track. I know we made a vid of me on the MX track but I cant find it anywhere. Well Here goes.
De4Lee; your the man (least somebody remembered to get some action recorded , thanks L.), great vid Gotta resize pics the wife took (on my Smarter than I Am-editing software, from Heck), & will post soon. I cant believe I didnt remember to get our vid cam out !!! Pghruby and I have the dreaded
Yeah it moves pretty good and I wasn't full throttle. If I rode those dunes more often I would probly have been flat out. Its amazing how more careful when you as you get older. I know we were (also) the kids of the trip, but I'm not into fixing the buggy after starting off over the limit. The last time I did that rolled. Before the busted petcock I was really taking the MX track quick more time and I would have had the guts to completely clear the table top. Next year!!! _________________ Worst case senerio: Heaven... I don't see the problem.
