| < Modfifications - Full Sized Buggy and Sand Rails ~ Some Trooper mods |
|
|
|
|
Weather warmed up a bit this week and allowed me to make some mods to the Trooper.
Made a windshield for about $55 dollars. Added some mud flaps to the front, fire extinguisher, cup holder, 12v outlet, flag holder and roll bar padding.
Still need to add some gun mounts and some kind of top.
I was told that the Polaris Ranger is almost an exact size for some accessories, will have to check into that.
Here are a few pictures.

Awesome job on the windshield. I put one on my 250 a while back and now I don't freeze too bad in the winter.

The windshields are good for keeping the cold out but they are a pain in the arsse when they get dirty.
One thing I need to mention. If you're trailering your buggy be carefull of the windshield. We've had more than one blow out driving down the road. I recommend that you take them off during transport.

Nice job, just wondering if you have trouble with
the back tires throwing stuff up on the back of you.

I Agree.
I don't particularly like looking through them when they start to get scratched and the glare.
But it is worth it in cold weather and will remove it or go with a half windshield when summer gets here.

Yes but it is minimal, most of the spray was where I put the mud flaps.
But it would be nice to add even more protection and I might do just that in the future.

Now that summer is in full swing and the Trooper is broke in with several hundred miles it's time for some long trips in the Nevada open country.
I replaced the full windshield with a less than half.
Also need some sun protection when riding in the desert so I installed a roof.
I found this universal UTV roof at Cabala's for $200 dollars and I could not believe how perfect it fit the Trooper.
The front to back was a perfect size and its adjustable on the width.
