Hello everyone, this is an invite to those that would like to attend a buggy gathering in Michigan at the Manistee/Lincoln and Tin Cup Trail areas, these trails are not too challenging but they are fun. There is approximately 80 miles of trails that are divided in 20/30 mile loops throughout the Manistee National Forest. The Trail system is located about 1 hr. nothwest of Grand Rapids MI, 10 Miles north of Baldwin MI on M-37 (Wolf Lake).

Projected Date (s): 26/27 April

You will need a Michigan ORV Sticker for your Buggy (s).
You will not need a Vehicle Pass for the Trail Head parking.

There is another Post "Places to ride in Michigan" where I have placed some information on Lodging and Camping that is close to the trail system.

Please sound off for those that would like to make this or if there is a better date, this should be a RIOT Very Happy Very Happy

Oh by the way did I mention there is mud Laughing Hope to see you there.

Jerry

Wow Jerry--you're really geeked! Count me in. We're going to be sticking to the truck routes so we'll all be legal no matter the buggy width, right? Maybe venture onto the parallel ATV trails now & then... Wink

I will be tearing the baffles out of the muffler Sunday and hopefully I can find some rollers to throw in by april...

Well,
I got the rejet done and it is amazing how easy the Titan II starts and runs. I used a #48 slowjet and a #130 mainjet. I fixed the cracked intake manifold with the one I recieved from Awesomebuggy.com. I will NEVER buy anything from them again. They were very rude and charged $15 to ship a $25 part that weighed almost nothing. It took a week to arrive and at least it was the right part. $40 later I have a running buggy. The extra hole in the radiator is plugged and now functions correctly. I installed a battery key switch so I don't have to unhook battery for storage. The only thing left is to get a backup belt and get some 17 or 18 gram rollers and I think I will order from Blade this time. I like that I can do it online and the prices are way better than Awesomebuggy.com. Just had to rant about that for a minute. I hope everyone is getting as excited about this trip as I am. If anyone has any idea where they are staying yet let us know. I would like to stay in the cabins at the lodge place. Sounds warm.

Nick

Remember that cold slushy ride a couple Octobers ago? That's the place.

Congrats on the addition! Sharon asked last week if Julie had the baby yet.

Congratulations!!! on the shiny new baby.

Still very excited about this trip up north. Where is everyone going to stay? I was thinking I should reserve something at that lodge, like a cabin or something. 1 mile from the trails is hard to argue with.

I ran into an issue with the Titan II...It started to blow blue smoke at acceleration from idle and desceleration just before idle. While in the power band it is clean? any ideas...It doesn't seem to be burning oil, but It doesn't take much. It had sat for 6 months, and maybe not being through a warming cycle is causing it? Let me know what you think guys.

P.s. I have run it through a full heat cycle twice since it has been puffing smoke...
