Follow the heavy starter lines back to the starter solenoid. Shorting across the two big poles should result in the starter spinning. If it does not, you have a supply or ground problem to the solenoid or starter.

The control side of the solenoid is connected to the key switch. Bypass the switch to verify the solenoid is working. If it cranks, the solenoid is OK and the ignition switch is faulty.

Your ignition switch would be the likely source of your problem. Over time, those contact will build up and you will loose the connection.

If you short across the solenoid, the starter should crank. Since lights are bright, I am assuming the battery is OK. Perhaps the starter motor is at fault.

What happened with the other troubleshooting I posted? What were your results?

You either have no 12VDC supplying the solenoid which powers the starter, you have no ground return from the starter, or the starter motor is bad.
