I live in California and would like to get more performance out of my intake. Due to epa/C.A.R.B., I would like to leave on the air box. I was thinking I could use this filter and leave the lid off while buggy was in use. If I did this would it help? Would I need to rejet? If I get stopped by the ranger I would tell them it fell off . California can be such a pain in the donkey . Here is the link to the filter.
most of the rejet depends on your elavation and your exhaust output. i gutted my exhaust and modded my airfilter box with a snorkle the same size all the way up about 2 1/2 inch intake snorkle. i had to rejet from a 112 jet to a 127. when i tried the mods without a rejet my engine just bogged out and would not reach above 5k rpm
