I just got off the phone with awesomebuggies.com and I was talking to a lady about the Titan. She answered my questions with a supprise. I ask if the Titan had any problems with the disc rotors, she said no. I then asked what about the tranny seals, do they tend to leak often. Her respond was immediate, she said they leak all the time no matter if it's new or not. Then I asked if the tranny was a good one. She replied sharply, no it's not a good tranny at all, the tranny in the Titan will break every time. And she even said that every Titan tranny will break, there is not a good one. ----WOW! I guess that blows my idea of owning one out of the water! I don't know what to look for now. I barely sold the idea to my wife to spend $2400.
Back to the drawing board....... If any of you people can help, I'm all ears (or eyes).
Got to give her credit for her honesty. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Really? What about the people that don't ask the right questions? I'm glad this guy did. I'd hate to see someone blow that kinda cash on a piece of tihs. Of course, $2400 isn't much for a 250.
Makes me wonder if they use that to try to upsell customers to a higher priced unit. Just a thought. _________________ Ron

Ron, I would buy a twister if they were under 3K. I like those rides alot. How much clearance you have?
She did offer me a second choice. It was the Spider 250 for an extr $300. However, I did not like the roll cage design. It doesn't look safe. She sounded nice and sweet about it but scary with a knife when she told me they break all the time. My initial thought was "wow, that's a good way to sell me a buggy, let alone any from this site". Has anyone bought from these people???
I still need some help finding another cart or better experiance with this one.
The HH250 has independant rear suspension so the ground clearance is pretty good. I'd say it's around 8".
You should check the classifieds. There are usually good deals floating around out there for a used machine. Most of the time, it's from a trusted site member. The warranties on the new buggies pretty much suck.
Also, please update your profile with your city and state so folks know where you are. Someone on here might see that you're close and be able to help you out locally. _________________ Ron

I'm lost, where do I go to edit my profile/ Until then, I live in Amarillo, TX. It's North TX and about 2 hours east of NM and 2 hours west of OK.
There is a Buggy that caught my attention, the Huricane 250 (aka GK-D06). This thing looks awesome. The guys at Awesomebuggy.com said that there is a performance clutch pack for $250 that will get you up any 45-55 degree grade from the base of the hill at a stop. They said it will flat out spin the tire on the "High end torque" buggy. Sounds like what I'm looking for.

I'm not sure if it's a hobby or a job!!!
I am just curious if you have gotten any further along in your decision making process on this.
I called awesomebuggy.com myself this morning, and was told essentially the same thing, that for someone 6 feet tall, the choices were the Titan 250, Spyder 250, and the Hurricane. The lady told me as well that the Titan had problems with the transaxle, and that I should look at the Spyder or the Hurricane. Apparently the Hurricane has a 'non-locked' rear end, and I would need to buy some performance upgrades to get started, so I was primarily looking at the Spyder.
Did you make a decision?
Did you by any chance find out if there are other viable alternatives for 6' folks other than these three options?
if you look down the review section he did finaly go with the titan i have one well a gk-13 same thing as the titan and have had no tranny trouble
oh and its ok that you cant find stuff your a newby we were there at one point _________________ 06 joyner 250 sand viper, red metallic....royal purple oil blue clutch spring 17 gram sliders and upgraded clutch
