Hey guys. I have a quick question about getting the buggies wet. I've seen lots of videos of guys riding their karts in the water. Today is first warm (53 degrees) day in Indiana in a little while but it's raining pretty good. Will i hurt any of the electronics if we ride in the rain? Also I have get to give it a good cleaning should I avoid using a pressure washer? As always thanks for all your help!!!!
P.S. I never thought my go kart would have such an impact on my life. We are looking for a new house and we find ourselves looking less at the house and more at the amount of land with it to ride on. _________________ SUNL 150

Driving in the rain won't hurt anything at all, I do it quite a bit. If you want to pressure wash it just be careful not to spray directly on any electrical connections and try to avoid the carb/intake area as well.
Have fun.

you beat me to it spool
also watch when power washing and try not to get a lot of water going in the throttle cable and reverse cable housing
to cause them to stick or hang up.these sunl reverse cables must be 8' long
when you get a chance check out oil the cable trick it really makes a big difference in these long reverse cables.
i done this and only unhooked it at the shifter and left it hooked to the reverse box fished it out from around the frame and then hung it up it you will know when the oil comes out it will drip out at the collar on the reverse box that the cable hooks to. this will save you a hassle of taking the snap ring off there. it worked well for me and if memory serves me wright it only took around 1 hour for oil to work from one end to other.
