If we could lock in a solid date I would be more apt to attend. I have to schedule ahead of time so the sooner you could get a date the better. My wife said just today, "How come they don't have any buggy get togethers around here?"
Yep count me in, I also agree the sooner I can get a date the better it will work out. I WILL be there two 800's and four quads strong.
Later W.C.
Moses Lake is the place and Memorial or Labor Day weekends was offered for dates. It sounds like everyone is itching to go. Let's set the date for Memorial Day weekend. I will be up there for both holidays - If you like Memorial Day, come back and see us on Labor Day.
The Northwest Regional Buggy Bash 2008 is set for Memorial Day weekend at Moses Lake.
The ORV park is a couple miles south of I-90, accessed by following the west side of the Moses Lake, and has a gravel access road to the staging area. The staging area typically has a police/ranger presence on holidays and sits on the south end of Moses Lake. Flags and registration are required on all vehicles. Helmets are required for minors. Dry camping is allowed in the ORV park.
To the north and south of staging area is open space and dunes. Larger buggies will find this open space smaller than what you will find in OR, but there is enough variety to keep you interested. If you travel south of the open space, you will find an extensive trail system. Most of the trails will accommodate 4-wheel drive trucks, so even sand buggies should be able to do trail rides. This area has very sharp sage brush and barbs. I suggest you add Slime or some other sealer to your tires before riding the trails here. The trails lead to some areas that are muddy river deltas and half-dried ponds - If you think you cannot get stuck, you will proven wrong. There are high voltage transmission lines running through the park that make good reference points to get you back to the staging area.
On the same southern side of I-90 is a private RPI campground (we will be staying here). On the north side of I-90 is a public park with boat launch and just to the west of it is campground open to all. If you cross Moses Lake on I-90, the east side of the lake has hotels. On the northern end of the lake is a Wal-mart if you need to restock or forgot something. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

Pghruby, Its great to see more riders showing interest in Memorial w/end ride. We will be there !! 2 buggies, 4x4 quad (help w/tow back, or recovery missions), & maybe a couple of dirt bikes. Got a couple of questions tho - 1st; date(s), actual Memorial Day is May 30th so are we meeting May 30,31, & June 1st ??, or on Observed Mem. w/end (which my calender shows to be May 26th ) ? 2nd; is primative, overnite camping @ staging area (ORV parking area) still allowed ? & wanted to make sure quads & dirt bikes ok w/everyone ?
Also I have received PMs of interest on Easter w/end, I will be trying to make sure of details concerning permissions to access, etc. & will post more soon (been out of town, & have plenty to catch up on). My intension is to put together 2-3 stop tour of Pasco/Richland area (Juniper Dunes; Richland ORV Park; & my back yard - 5 acre closed course m/x style track & working on possible 10-20 mi. "farm roads" loop from my place).

We are looking at the observed Memorial Date of May 26th - This allows extra days for people traveling. We will be arriving Friday, May 23rd and leaving Tuesday, May 27th to avoid traffic. We will set a meeting time for Saturday morning at the ORV park so everyone has time to settle in. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

Our wives are in touch via email. We will arrive Friday, March 21st with trailer in tow.
I need to replace a front tire on the Joyner due to a sidewall puncture today and rig up my tow bar for 4-wheel flat towing... _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250
