Too bad... There's some talk of opening a state owned site or two here in CT, but it's a long shot. The bill that would have allowed the creation of the sites got tangled up in conference and didn't make it to the floor for a vote in the last session of the CT legislation. With a presedential election year, there's little or no chance that anything will happen this year. _________________ Chris Dierkens

NJ is the exact same way... My father tells me stories of how he used to ride the powerlines for mile, and the jumps they made and all that... Now if you get caught anywhere near them on a motorized vehicle today, that vehicle is immediately impounded and it is a 500 dollar criminal trespass fine... If you are over the age of 18, that seek to suspend your drivers license as well, depending on your behavior after gettin gbusted I guess. Two kids I know got caught... Both had to hire lawyers to keep their machines and their licenses... They are real strict with that junk now.
As per public property, there is a supposed land resolution act that they are making to reserve space down near the shore for ATV ONLY riding, however, it is getting beat up heavily in the election year as well...
Shame... You get a nice mahine, you live where the work is, but you cant play where you live.... For that you gotta travle 2+ hours... That american dream that used to be life size and certainly achievable, now seems like it can fit on a shelf up high and out of reach for the kids at heart... Darn shame...
Mo. was also wanting to build 2 areas along the Missouri river,and were hoping some ATV club or group would go in and build it. Unfortunatly.the state of Mo. does not consider buggies as ATV's .
