what other stators are out there??? I want to bump the volts a tad to get my 55's a little brighter, but not go crazy with hooking up a winch, radio, more lights and so on... I just want a good charging system with brighter lights!

lol

11 pole sounds like a real shocker!!! overkill for me probably, so what is next? what others are out there??

Buggy Depot has been selling an 8-pole stator that just plugs in the existing harness. You will still need the flywheel puller to replace it, but you can have brighter lights in an hour. I've been waiting almost a year for the 11-pole to be available. Now I'll have my chance to shine.

I recieved my 11-pole stator and high output regulator. As soon as the flywheel puller arrives, I will be upgrading my 3206 doubling the available power.

The flywheel puller finally arrived today, but now I am short on time due to other distractions. More on the 11-pole stator installation and the "distraction" later.

The 11-pole stator went in place of the 6-pole without issue. You can plug the 11-pole directly into your existing harness, but one phase will be unused unless you go with the heavy duty rectifier. Although I was able to rig jumper wires to allow both regulators to run in parallel, I reverted back to the stock regulator w/ 11-pole stator until I can source the Molex connectors and contacts.

Post a picture of the connector you need to connect to. I've got a ton of sources for this type of thing. If I can find a good source maybe we can just get BDepot to do the terminations before they send them out.

ok guys sence you all are on the subject of stators and i have been wanting to ask this question for a while but didn't want to come off as a dumb a$$ but i guess you never learn some times if you don't ask. so here goes.
i have converted to manual choke....there is still power in my electrical box from where i unplugged it.
also as i have said before i rewired my lights to battery, they are low watts 30.......ok i still have power at light switch when i unplugged it coming from stator just double it over and taped off.
ok here is the question sence these still have power on them and not being used.can this power be coverted back some way to help charge the battery without shorting things out.
i hope this did not come off as a dumb question but i am curious
the stator is a little tricky for me,i understand how the stator is supposed to work but i'm lost on the technical stuff.

I need four plugs to run dual stators: Male and female 4-conductor connector that is identical to the the 6-pole, 8-pole and 11-pole stators and Male 3-conductor and 4-conductor going to high output regulator.

The regulator contacts are standard width spade lugs while the stator contacts are half width.

Update: I haven't been able to find these connectors in raw form to build a bridging harness. If I don't find something, I will sacrifice an engine harness with these connectors to get my custom harness.

In the mean time I have been running the buggy with 11-pole stator connected to the stock regulator and harness with no problems and noticeably brighter lights.
