Paddy's will only be open on 5 weekends this year Shocked
This would have been difficult to schedule and likely more crowded. Don't know what's going on with the cut-back.

That does not sound to good if it was such a good place to go.Maybe there is not much turn out except for the Holiday events. Sad

I think someone mentioned on this site that major work was going on over there! I cant rememebr what thread it was in... Possibly the "pick a location for the bash" thread.... They said Paddys was closing up.... What a shame!

I think Keith may have mentioned something about it being bought by a mining company. He did see trees down and stuff like that.

It was probably tough to compete with Turkey Bay, too. That place is big and the camping amenities are quite a bit nicer.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were logging Paddy's. My grandma's timber is 160 acres and it was logged a couple years ago and she made $60k! I couldn't friggin believe it. They get in there about every 9 years and log it.

$60k for 90 acres of timber is a steal.

If they do it right they could establish the logging operation and still have a decent place to play.
Having never been there it's hard to comment on wether or not they'd be able to survive from something like this. We'll it's not our business, so we'll just have to live with their decision.

I'm bummed I never had the oppurtunity to go.

Missouri here we come.

It was a great place to ride,I would have definately gone back.
From what I can remember from last year...all who were involved with Paddy's all worked during the week, and that paddy's was more of a hobby, that his neighbors did not care for!

The rumor going around here is that he is negotiating to sell it to a mining operation to turn it into a rock quarry. That's just a rumor though....no one has verified it.

The last time me and KY_ridgerunner and Kell rode there, it was a mess! Treetops were down everywhere, the trails were rutted out by skidders and logging trucks....it was difficult to ride in some places. We struggled to find 400 hill because the trail was so badly butchered and KY_ridgerunner has been riding down there for over 15 years. I hope it doesn't get sold out and he takes a renewed interest in it being an ATV park, because it was pretty nice and a great place to ride!

I'll keep everyone posted as I hear new info.

Keith
