I can bring a bulletin board and if someone gets me a map with some things circled and labled, I can make a poster and put the board up somewhere! It has to be done by the June 23rd though!!!! lol....

Anyway... I got a lot of little cones to put down for the drag strip if there is a nice flat place to do it!!!

As per the 10 bux... awesome idea!!!

Anything else????

Rider INTRO- FRIDAY... check
Hill climb...any day... check
Group photo (saturday?)... check
Drag Race.... Friday/saturday (pending attendance in park)... Check
barbacue... check

Anything else?

I PERSONALLY really want to do some form of TRIBUTE to STEVE. I think the least we can do is have a little jar or something at the bash at someones campsite and anyone can make donations to the HOPKINS family, and then we can have alittle something before people leave just to say thinks to Steve for all he donated to the buggy community, and giving all of us the opportunity to meet. That is MY goal for my very first buggy bash...

I like the idea of the tribute jar. I think that would be fitting.

Great idea with the tribute jar. That is the least we can do for the family.

A tribute to our founder I think is a great Idea, along with a donation, why not a plaque or something to give to the family? Man I am still in shock to see this.

So that Steve Hopkins is never forgotten, maybe we should be calling this annual buggy rally, "The Steve Hopkins Memorial BuggyNews Rally". Or something like that. All future rallies should carry this name to make sure the creator is never forgotten. Just a thought.

This plaque should also be signed by all that attend and then become a yearly tradition. A new plaque made every year and signed by everyone that attends. To make the plaque and signatures more permanant, the plaque could be fabricated from something like anodized aluminum or wood and then all signatures will be made on something scannable. I can then laser engrave all the signatures onto the plaque. Where all these plaques reside after the rallies needs to be discussed. Maybe BuggyNews HeadQuarters? Jamie's house? Laughing Just tossin' some ideas out there.

Blister that is a good idea!!!! Applause .I agree with Chris ...it should have the buggy-news banner, only with his buggy under it,maybe something with him or his family in it????? Or else maybe the group photo from the first buggy -bash???

Chris, it really is easy to find your way around there, but perhaps some cones to mark the out/in holes. The terrain, lots of sand,I agree that some one should aleast mark off a drag strip. Would any one be interested in a poker run?,Or some kind of rally,I would willing to help out there.

I like the anodized signature idea...use the pix from the bash to make a plaque each year, and have the members sign a paper and then they can be put in a nice format with their respective user ID's on the plate.....

As per the name of the Bash, JABO, can you chance the title of this thread to the "OFFICIAL STEVE HOPKINS BUGGY NEWS BASH - 08" ?

That would be cool...

As per where the plaque should be kept with the HOPKINS family... Let them cherish what Steve has done for all of us... We can take pix each year of the plaques and post them up on here for a permanent home!!!

Just a thought....

Man, you guys are right on the ball. Those sound like good idea's.
I like the plaque ( alluminum ) idea..! Maybe we,
at the buggy rally can discuss who will make it.
If Blister would like the honor of making it, he can
get a cost figure for us, and we can help share the
cost burden for him.
What do ya say guys, sound good?
We still have some time with this, so maybe more
people will chime in with their thoughts..

Bob
